high street, seaford
One property is a conversion of the former coach house to create a 2 bedroom property with a patio garden to the rear. The other property is a new build, on the site of the former ice house, to create a 3 bedroom property with a walled garden to the rear.
In contrast to the conversion, the new build uses contemporary materials and details throughout. The materials are all locally sourced, low maintenance products of high quality and durability. They have been carefully chosen to age gracefully and to complement the style of the neighbouring conversion work. The existing flintwalls to the ice house forming the boundary to the site have been retained as part of the new property.
As with all town centre projects, the site was tightly surrounded by other properties and the design was carefully developed to address the existing constraints of the site. Planning permission has now been obtained for a further three town houses nearby.
